Matt Furby 2

 Matt Furby. Elder

Matt, his wife Belinda, and their children moved to the Sandhills in 1994 from their home state of Louisiana. Through a neighbor's friendship and compassionate outreach, Matt came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1997. The Lord has given Matt many opportunities to serve in the past, but he is now most passionate about the chance to impact others for Christ as an Elder and Life Group Leader at CCC.

Matt is a Regional Sales Manager for a local chemical manufacturing company. He enjoys running, biking, meeting new people, and LSU football. (Geaux Tigers!)  Matt and Belinda have been blessed to raise their son and two daughters in the beautiful state of North Carolina. They are looking forward to the great things the Lord has planned for Christ Community Church!

David Gray, Elder

David was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.  There he came to faith and was baptized at a young age.   He and his wife Nancy were married in 1959.  As a young couple they moved to Long Island, N.Y. where they raised four children. They are now the proud grandparents to 15 grandchildren.  After his retirement in 1999, David and Nancy moved to Pinehurst.   The Grays have served at CCC for many years, and continue to use their gifts in Hospitality, Children’s Ministry, and Leadership.  As God permits, they will continue to do so.  (I Cor.15:58)

Mark Hollingsworth, Elder and Fresh Start Ministry Leader

Mark and his wife Joanna moved to the Sandhills in July 2008 from Southern California to be near their daughters who had both gone off to college on the East Coast. Mark has been a professional financial advisor since 1982.

Mark grew up in Venezuela with missionary parents who served there for 41 years. Both Mark and Joanna have been actively involved in Church leadership for most of their adult lives. They have had the opportunity to serve for many years in a mid-sized Baptist church in Yorba Linda, California and, just prior to moving to North Carolina, enjoyed three years of service with Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.

Joanna and Mark both enjoy all aspects of serving in the local church and are excited to see the growth that God has caused here at CCC!

Tom2Little

Tom Little, Elder Chair

Tom was born and raised in Southern California and married Tereece in 1983. They have two grown children, Ryan and Lauren, who were raised in the city of San Clemente until their relocation to Pinehurst in 2007. Tom served as a police officer in the city of Newport Beach and Irvine for a total of 30 years and retired in 2003. He is currently a Homeland Security consultant.

Tom was raised in a Christian home but strayed from the church until the early 1990’s. He was involved in a terrifying event related to his career, and the Lord Jesus Christ clearly intervened to save Tom. At this point his true spiritual journey began. Tom surrendered his life proclaiming Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a Christian Men’s retreat in 1995.

Tom and Tereece were involved in several ministries at their home church in California and, when moving to Pinehurst, they looked for a strong Bible teaching church and an opportunity to serve the Body of Christ. They found both at Christ Community Church.
