This Weekend's Worship Service

Thank you for joining us for this weekend’s service!  We look forward to worshiping with you again next week!

Outdoor Worship Gathering

Outdoor Worship Gathering Details

Christ Community Church’s Outdoor Worship Gatherings are going to be a 45 minute time of live, outdoor, worship, praise, and socially-distanced fellowship! You’ll still want to tune in online for the main Weekend Worship Service and pastoral teaching.
If necessary, inclement weather announcements will be posted on the CCC Homepage and on social media by 6:30AM on Sunday mornings.

Here’s What you Need to Know

What should I expect?

Expect to RSVP online so that we can get an accurate picture of the number of cars and people planning to attend each service.

Expect to practice social distancing while on the CCC campus and be respectful of those who may prefer to worship in a mask.

Expect to dress casually and comfortably as we will be outside in the June heat and humidity.

Expect to be greeted by volunteers and extra signage to keep you informed about parking, seating, restroom facilities and dismissal.

Expect to join together in worship, praise, and prayer and to hear a brief message from Pastor Ken.

Expect to go online sometime during the weekend to participate in the Online Worship Service.  Even though we’re adding Outdoor Worship Gatherings, the Online Worship Service will continue to be where you need to go to hear the entire message and pastoral teaching, especially for those who are not ready to gather in person.

We would also like to remind you to please stay home if you’re sick.  This is for your own health and for the protection of those in attendance.

When should I arrive?

If you RSVP for the 8:00AM service you can begin to arrive at 7:30AM to park, choose your seating area and set up your chairs, etc.  Worship will begin promptly at 8:00AM and we will begin dismissing groups at 8:45AM.

If you RSVP for the 9:30AM service, parking will begin at 9:00AM.  You will be able to park, choose your seating area and set up your chairs, etc.  Worship will begin promptly at 9:30AM and we will begin dismissing groups at 10:15AM.

How do I RSVP?

We are so excited to finally be able to welcome all who are comfortable to join in this time of worship and praise.  Because we are committed to practicing social distancing at these gatherings, we are asking for your help in gauging crowd sizes and parking needs, ahead of time.  Please click on the link below and RSVP for CCC’s Outdoor Worship Gatherings.

Are my children invited to worship with us?

Absolutely!  We are so excited that these gatherings are a time when families can worship together.  We do ask that children stay seated with their parents for the duration of the gathering and we want to remind you that the buildings and playground are closed, in accordance with current guidelines.  If you are worshiping with your children, the Adventure Kids team will bring you an awesome Adventure Pack that’s designed to keep kids engaged and focused during the service.

What do I need to bring?

To limit person to person contact as much as possible, we’re asking you to bring your own seating for your entire family.  We will be gathering on asphalt in the north parking lot for the worship gatherings, so camp chairs and lawn chairs would probably be the most comfortable option.

You are welcome to bring refreshments for your family, trash cans will be available. Sunglasses, hats, sunscreen and bug repellent may make you more comfortable, as well.

Registered service animals are welcome, but we cannot allow family pets at these gatherings.

What about parking?

A trained team of awesome volunteers will be directing all parking for the Outdoor Worship Gatherings.  The team will fill the south parking lot first, and will direct traffic to overflow parking, if needed.  If you have concerns about handicapped parking or need extra assistance getting from your car to the North parking lot, where the Outdoor Worship Gatherings will take place, please let a member of the parking team know, upon arrival.

We ask that all staff and volunteers park at Hospice across Campground Road, to free up spaces for other cars in the South Lot.

What if I'm not ready to gather yet?

We are praying for those of you who would love to gather, but are making the difficult choice to stay home for the protection of yourselves and the ones you love.  Beginning Saturday, June 13th, we will start uploading the Online Worship Service to the CCC website by 3PM so everyone, regardless of their comfort level may worship with CCC throughout the weekend.  The Online Worship Service will continue to be CCC’s full worship experience and will be the place where we all come together to hear the message and “go to church”.

What should I know about wellness guideline?

We’re looking to the NC government and CDC guidelines during this time, and we recommend you do the same.  You can visit both websites at the links below.
