During the month of August, Christ Community Church (CCC) is offering 6 different opportunities for you to better equip yourself as a Christ follower. Each course is designed in such a way that even attending just a single evening provides value as a stand-alone session.
Prayerfully consider engaging in Community U in order to improve your Readiness for Ministry within CCC as we are "growing a community passionate for God and His Purposes."
(Each offering is designed in such a way that attending only a single evening is of value as a stand-alone.)
Led by Pastor Rich Culp, this course primarily designed to equip Life Group Leaders and Apprentices but would greatly benefit any passionate follower of Christ who embraces the importance of Authentic - yet too often Uncommon - Community. How do we live out the one another's in grace and truth?
Led by Marlene Dean, these sessions target teachers, teaching assistants, interested parents, and potential new volunteers. Attend one or both sessions to learn the basics of discipleship, biblical instruction and classroom management of the elementary age group within Christ Community Church. The video-based, interactive material will also build a sense of community among volunteers.
Facilitated by the Military Ministry, the Fort Bragg Family Advocacy Program will provide the content at Christ Community Church. This series of classes is designed to equip and support our military families through deployment cycles and transitions to military life. Each evening is a stand-alone topic and will begin with a devotion led by one of our own military families.
Wednesday, August 6 - Deployments
Wednesday, August 13 - Deployments and Marriage

Led by Pastor Dean Engebretson, this two-part interactive workshop will guide you to discover God's unique plan for you - understanding God's purposes for your life, clarifying your identity and roles, making Kingdom impact and realizing your dreams. As the Apostle Paul encourages us, "we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." (Homework required between 2 sessions)
Co-led by LTG(Ret) Robert VanAntwerp and Pastor Dean Engebretson. Leadership is 'influence.' What are the keys to "spiritual leadership" in the context of Christian community? How is it different from secular ideas of leadership? How would it look in my life? Do leaders need an office or a title to lead? This two-session class provides an overview of spiritual leadership by studying key biblical leaders. This class serves as an excellent introduction to our LEAD classes.
Let by Katrina Dierking, Whispering Pines Emergency Response Trainer. Each four-hour class trains the basics of CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) system. Each participant will receive a two-year certification. This is of special interest to staff, teachers, and ministry leaders who lead events on campus. It is desired to train volunteers who would join a Medical Emergency Response Team to provide assistance should an emergency arise on site at CCC. Each session is limited to 9 participants.
Two classes are offered:
