David2BlaesingDavid Blaesing, Deacon
David was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He moved to Laurinburg, N.C. in 1979 to work for Libby Owens Ford Glass Co. In 2001 David, his wife Cassie, and their daughter Faith moved to Pinehurst, gaining employment at the Pinehurst Resort.

David has been a believer since 2001and seeks to grow closer to his Lord and Savior daily. He has served on the Deacon Board for more than 2 years and oversees the grounds and building exterior. David’s prayer is that CCC will continuously seek God’s guidance and continue to grow His kingdom.

 

 

DonCalfeeDon Calfee, Deacon

 

Don was born and raised in Beckley, W.Va.   He and his wife Nettie have lived in Southern Pines since 1973.  He retired in 1998.  He dedicated his life to God when he was sixteen, but feels as though he has been close to God his whole life.  He and Nettie enjoy teaching and are active in their life group.  Don is looking forward to serving at CCC.

 

 

 

 

 

 


Russ2DierkingRuss Dierking, Deacon
Russ was born and raised in the Chicago area and moved to North Carolina with wife, Cheryl, and sons in 1991. They discovered CCC in 1994 and have enjoyed serving this church body in numerous capacities.








Mary2GurleyMary Gurley, Deaconess
Mary moved to the Southern Pines in the 1980's from Aurora, Illinois. She is widowed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Mary enjoys using her gifts of service at CCC in a variety of ways. One special opportunity is meeting people as she serves the body by working at the coffee bar on Sunday mornings.




 

 

 

Ron2JosephRon Joseph, Deacon and Treasurer
Ron retired from Lockheed Martin in 2001 after 39 years of service and moved to the Sandhills with his wife Sue in 2004. During an assignment in Germany in 1992, Ron and Sue came to know the Lord through the efforts of missionaries. Their resulting "heart for missions" led them to co-chair the Missions Committee at the Mt. Laurel Evangelical Free Church in New Jersey and Ron's chair of the Missions Committee at CCC. Ron's current role as Deacon and Treasurer provides him with new opportunities to serve God and the body at CCC.

Debbie was raised in a Christian home, and came to know Christ at an early age. She moved from Arlington, Texas to Seven Lakes in 2006, and has been a member of CCC since 2008. She has had previous experience working in the healthcare field, is active in our choir and praise team, and is coordinator of the fellowship committee. It is her joy to serve God and the people of Christ Community Church.

 

 

 

 


Bill2LynchBill Lynch, Deacon
Bill and his wife Franie moved to Pinehurst in 2007 from Delaware to be near their family after retiring from teaching. Their son and his family have been members of CCC for many years. It is special for them to worship with their biological family in addition to Christ's family. Bill has been a believer since his teen years in Young Life and has felt 'renewed' at CCC. He feels blessed by the Lord to serve as a Deacon and as Usher Coordinator. Bill looks forward to serving God with the expansion of our church and our growing congregation.






JD2MillikanJ. D. Millikan, Deacon Board Chair
J.D. is a North Carolina native and has lived in Pinehurst with his wife Lois since 2000. They own a local business. J.D. has been a Christian since the age of 12 and has a heart for men’s ministries. He has recently joined the Deacon Board and is looking forward to watching God work through Christ Community Church.




 


Keith2MillikanKeith Millikan, Deacon
Keith is a Pinehurst, NC native. Following college, he returned to Pinehurst to work in health care administration. Keith and his family moved to Durham for a brief, two-year period, but again returned to the Sandhills. They say once you get sand between your toes, you can't get it out!

Jesus captured Keith's heart many years ago through a multiphase process. He is a servant of God, husband, father, landscape designer/contractor, and youth leader. Keith, his wife Kerry, and their sons Will and Drew, have been attending CCC since 2008. Keith's desire is to glorify God as a Deacon and to use his talents and gifts with wisdom and discernment.

 

Dave Robinson 1David Peterson, Deacon

 

David was raised in a military family and experienced all the typical moves.  He transferred with UPS to Moore County in 1981, retired in 2006, and currently operates his own general contracting business.

 

He and his wife Sara have four daughters and 4 grandsons and have been attending Christ Community Church since 2010.

 

Though raised in a Christian home, David did not personally surrender his life to Christ until 1993. Since then he has found joy in serving Him and looks forward to serving at CCC.

 

 

 

 

GaryRobinsonGary Robinson, Deacon 

 

Gary Robinson was born and raised in northern California.  Although, he did not grow up in a Christian home, Gary became a follower of Christ in 1988.  He and his wife Sharon and their children Matt and Molly moved to NC in 1997.  Gary and his family have been attending CCC since the fall of 2008.  He feels privileged to serve God as a Deacon, and is excited to see all that God will do in the future.

Marty Williamson, Deacon

Marty moved to North Carolina in 1993 from Huntington, West Virginia where he and his wife Sondie had just graduated from Marshall University. After working for Rostra Precision Controls for 11 years, Marty started his own electrical contracting business based in Southern Pines. He continues to grow his business with God at the helm. In 2000, Marty and Sondie were blessed with the birth of their daughter Erin.

 

Marty came to know the Lord at a young age when he prayed to receive Christ with his mother and is confident that He who began a good work in him will carry it on to completion. Marty, Sondie, and Erin started attending Christ Community in 2008. In addition to being on the Deacon Board, Marty also serves on the Worship Sound Team.
