Tracy Thompson grew up in Perry, Georgia, surrounded by loads of family members. This is where she met her husband, Slim, at the ripe old age of 14. It was quite a change to grow up in the same town together and then shift into a military lifestyle, but sometimes change is good. The Air Force allowed life to happen in six different states from California to North Carolina - 14 moves - and then retirement here. God has held them together and blessed them with three wonderful children. Her son Phillip is living in Raleigh and managing a cell phone store. Her twin daughters are currently attending Sandhills Community College as freshmen, allowing them to stay at home and remain active at CCC. Tracy’s whole family is thrilled to be a part of such a loving community.
Tracy has both bachelor’s master’s degrees in education. It’s been her heart’s desire to serve and love children. Serving in ministry has definitely sparked a new desire and love for work. If you feel the same, please connect with her and she can work with you to consider where you’d like to serve and share your gifts in Children’s Ministry.
